How To Terminate A cPanel Or Reseller Accounts within WHM

WHM Permanently Terminate an Accounts

WHM interface allow the users with terminate permissions to remove cPanel or WHM reseller account and allow you to keep the DNS zone of accounts even if you terminate and delete the account.To Terminate an accounts :

  1. Login to WHM Control panel.
  2. Navigate Home »Multi Account Functions »Terminate.
  3. From the Terminate Accounts page , you can find the list of all WHM/cPanel accounts , you have an option to filter the list by typing your keywords in the search textbox , the filter will apply to any columns in the list including “Username,Domain,Owner, Account State” ,with checkbox Show only suspended accounts option to display only suspended accounts,now you two options:
    1. terminate an individual account, then perform the following steps:
      1. To keep a domain’s DNS zone on your server, select the associated checkbox in the Keep DNS Zone column.
      2. Click Remove in the associated checkbox in that account’s row.
      3. Click Yes, delete this account to confirm that you wish to remove the account.
    2. To terminate multiple accounts from your server, perform the following steps:
      1. Select the checkboxes that correspond to the accounts that you wish to remove.
        • To keep a domain’s DNS zone on your server, select the associated checkbox in the Keep DNS Zone column.
      2. Click Remove selected accounts.
      3. Click Yes, delete these accounts.
You should keep in mined , that you cannot undo the account termination action.The system permanently deletes that account’s data from the server. So be careful while terminate the account.

Why Keep the DNS zones

When you terminate an account, you can keep the domain’s zone file in the DNS server. This is useful, for example, if you move an account to a different server that is a part of the same DNS cluster as the previous server, and you want to delete the account information from the original server.
