VPS Server Definition
A virtual private server (VPS), is a virtual server that appears to the user as a dedicated server but is actually virtualized server installed as piece isolated resources of dedicated server . A single dedicated server can have several VPSs, each one with its own operating system (OS) that runs the hosting software for a particular user.
VPS virtual server does not use dedicated hardware, like a hard drive or CPU, rather it accesses one or more parts of certain hardware resources. This means a VPS has some performance characteristics that differ from those of a physical server.
The advantage of a virtual server is the flexible allocation of physical server resources, which allows
to customize the resources and isolated from the physical server like Storage , CPU , RAM , Bandwidth and others.
this makes vps server very cost efficient. The opposite of a vps is a dedicated server, where specific hardware resources are rented either in their full capacity, or just one or more processors and hard drives.
